Our Work

HITS Homes Trust was established in 1981 to provide supported housing to young people and give them a chance to live independently! Not only do we help get people a safe room off the streets, but we also support our residents with advice on their bills, help them talk to the council, and have an on site office with staff who will help however they can.

We provide 15 self-contained flats on Evington Road in Leicester.

The flats are fully furnished with beds, sofas and fitted kitchens! Aside from mandatory weekly support sessions you are free to live independently, whilst living here you will have to cook for yourself, pay bills yourself and get all the benefits of living on your own; but if you ever need a hand our office is just downstairs to offer advice, support, counselling and events.

As well as providing a place to stay, our project is also a fantastic place to get real experience managing and living on your own so that when you move on you can succeed in your own place.

We have a team of staff who are available to provide support in a number of areas like how to manage your money and get benefits that you may be entitled to, how to get into education and employment, help with improving your health and personal well-being and finally to move onto your own secure home.

We are keen on giving young people good experiences in supported housing so we run social activities to build up confidence and meet new people! Living alone can sometimes be difficult so we encourage everyone to get involved, get to know each other and make some friends.

If you are ready for this level of responsibility and are prepared to live on your own please contact us.
