HITS Homes Trust has been established since 1981 to provide supported housing to young people aged between 16 and 25 years old.
We provide 15 self-contained flats, located at Evington Road.The flats are fully furnished with essential household items such as curtains, carpets throughout; sofa, coffee table, bookcase in the lounge; cooker, fridge, washing machine in the kitchen; double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers in the bedroom.The tenants are responsible for all their own cooking, cleaning and utilities such as gas, electricity and water.
We have two members of staff who are available to provide support in a number of areas such as how to manage your money and get benefits that you may be entitled to, how to get into education and employment, help with improving your health and personal well-being and finally to move onto your own secure home.
We are keen on young people having good experiences in supported housing so we have social activities to build up confidence and meet new people; this reduces isolation and increases the community atmosphere at HITS Homes Trust. The project is really good at giving the realistic experience of managing and living on your own so that you can succeed in your own place.
